Clorox Donates Additional $125,000 for Haiti Relief Efforts
Feb. 8, 2010
Clorox is donating $125,000 to the United Nation’s Children’s Fund (UNICEF) for the rebuilding of Haiti schools, most of which were destroyed during the recent earthquake. According to UNICEF, going back to school is the first step in a child’s recovery after a disaster, creating a place of safe community and learning. UNICEF will lead education rebuilding efforts in conjunction with the Haiti government and local communities.
Clorox’s donation to UNICEF follows an initial donation $125,000 to the Red Cross for immediate relief efforts. Clorox is also prepared to donate bleach and other products for Haiti relief efforts through its partnership with the Red Cross.
